Intention to Lead, Who to Vote for in Chicago

From top left to bottom right: Kam Buckner, Jesus 'Chuy' Garcia, Ja'Mal Green, Brandon Johnson, Sophia King, Lori Lightfoot, Roderick Sawyer, Paul Vallas, and Willie Wilson. With 9 candidates running in the February 28th Chicago mayor's race the choice seems difficult but it's pretty easy.

Most of the candidates running to be the next mayor are professional politicians with ties to all kinds of shady groups, past politicians and failed agendas.

There's also a businessman, another is a community organizer and you got one that's a professional privatizer that lives in the suburbs.

Yes, in Chicago you can live in the suburbs and still run to be mayor of the city.

Go figure.

What's the point, intention that's the point.

Who out of the nine candidates running to be Chicago's mayor has the intention to be the mayor.

People say that they're all honest people we should give them the benefit of the doubt.

There's two that should be disqualified immediately, Chuy Garcia and Brandon Johnson.

They lied to their constituents when they were elected to office in November 2022.

They made promises, got votes, spent money and won their respective seats.

Then instantly they said, no I want another job, thanks for the votes suckers.

We can argue that the incumbent has failed but is that a fair assessment of work performance?

Let's look if she kept her promises and does she deserve another 4 years.

For me, the person I'm going to vote for is the person I feel is going to do their job as mayor, not be a politician lying to get votes or flip flopping to which way the wind blows.

Saying all kinds of things, to scare me, to trick me, to fool me that they're my friend.

It is pretty easy to see who the liars are.

For me it's a matter of picking the person that has the best temperament and the best idea to move our city forward.

Will the candidate that I vote for win in the end, probably not.

The beauty of voting is its choice.

If we all make the choice to pick a leader that doesn't lie, and doesn't cheat and doesn't seek power for something else, then our city will have a leader that has the intentions to lead our city.

Rather than looking for another job.
