CPS empty schools and no learning the result of political and social justice agenda by CORE leadership
this unsustainable and will result in mass layoffs and school closings - the confrontational strategy of jackson potter and sdg is a failure - instead of building educational capacity and programming they choose to use the ctu to build a political party the UWF #fakesters destroyed cps black schools for personal gain ... dont ever forget ctu took out sro's and allowed unabated violence in city schools ... the chickens have come home to roost ...

ask sdg
stacey davis gates is the current union president she would be best to answer these questions. maybe you can catch her in between speaking engagements and magazines interviews. ask her where the 8.8 million in surplus money when we had a few years ago if you catch her ...

What is the real focus of CTU?
Mr. Kugler,
I am wondering when CTU will address:
1. Why CPS is placing teachers on their Do Not Hire list that have committed no crime
2. Why CPS is allowed to ignore a ruling of ISBE that is in favor of a teacher
3.Why CPS refuses to own up to losing a lawsuit and not pay back pay, back pension payments and restore the employee to their job
4. Why CPS suggests to ISBE to subpoena the records of a teacher who has won a lawsuit
against them
5. Why is REACH still in use as an evaluative tool for teachers
6. Why do some teachers get audited for REACH exam scores and not all teachers
7. Why are Principal's allowed to ignore the positive recommendation of a mentor teacher during the REACH remediation process
8. Why are Principal's getting promoted after forcing out veteran teachers with more than 20+ years of service
In my opinion, there were three election slates this past election period at CTU because Union dues need to be focused on teacher needs not every social problem and political platform.
Will the issues above be addressed in the upcoming contract?
