Chicago violence continues even as most youngsters enjoy Halloween
Gun violence -- most of it the result of rivalries among Chicago's major drug gangs -- continued in certain parts of the city, even as most youngsters enjoyed a Halloween. The city had clear, albeit cold, weather for the Trick or Treat hours (and this reporter's home ran out of candy by seven o'clock because of the rush of young treaters in the city's Portage Park community).
