RAHMWATCH 2016: Chicago's mayor is clueless on September 26, 2016, as Republican candidate slanders the city and teachers vote overwhelmingly for another strike...
Chicago's Mayor Rahm Emanuel's response to teachers demanding more money for the city's real public schools. Since his 2011 election, Rahm has viciously expanded charter schools, eliminated real public schools, and cut the funding for all but a bare bones public school system. Rahm's own children go to exclusive and expensive private schools. Rahm became a multi-millionaire by earning $18 million during three years on Wall St. as what he called a "relationship banker." His college degree is in dance. In an episode that might be called "Clueless in Chicago," on the day that the Republican candidate for President of the United States declared that Chicago is a "war zone" (interesting, from a guy who dodged the Vietnam War after going to a "military academy" for high school), Chicago's mayor had other things to talk about. One the day when teachers announced they had voted for a second strike in five years, Rahm Emanuel sent out a press release. About what? Read below:
