Emanuel hosts 'budget forum' at Malcolm X while continuing to ignore Dyett hunger strikers...
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel will return to an earlier playbook when he hosts a "budget forum" at Malcolm X College tonight, August 31, 2015. Emanuel held a similar event in the summer of 2011, but refused to meet with the public on his budgets after that. This year, he is holding three events on the budget.
Emanuel's budget forum comes while the mayor continues to refuse to publicly discuss the current hunger strike at Chicago's Dyett High School. The hunger strikers are in their 14th day.
